Sherise basically
grew up in SCCA at Summit Point. She first watched
her dad race when she was just a few months old. At a
couple years of age, she referred to the
Formula Vee's as baby race cars. In the late
70's she started working in Timing And Scoring as a
runner and copier machine repairer. After about 12
years of growing up in T&S it was finally time to
try something new (especially since being of legal
age she no longer needed parental release). Since the
Starters bridge was right next to T&S, it was the
next logical step. Shortly thereafter, she
started to work Flagging
and Communications. She still holds a National
Starters license and a Divisional F&C license. For
the past 2 years she has crewed for her
father and god-father who both drive GTPintos.
Since joining the team
in 2006, she has progressed from crew to crew chief,
and now the team manager/accounting.
She and her husband reside in Laurel, MD. |

Glenn comes to Meathead Racing after relocating the
WRDC region from the Central Carolinas Region of
the SCCA. Glenn began his interest in
motorsports in the early 80’s when he began
competing in Solo 2, Pro Solo and later in Solo 1
high speed events. For years he was hoping one day
to get the opportunity to road race. Bob Thornton
at Race Engineering gave him that chance in 2004
when Glenn obtained his National Competition
License. Glenn was Crew Chief for Bob, the 2 time
Spec Miata SARRC champion, for 3 years. After
Thornton’s retirement in 2007 Glenn assumed duties
crewing for teams such as OPM, Team Carbotech
Brakes, and EP contender and former ARRC Champion
Sam Moore. Glenn has performed crew chief and over
the wall crew duties for 24 hour, 13 hour and 12
hour endurance races as well as numerous shorter
endurance races. After taking a year off from road
racing, Glenn hopes to again get a chance to drive
at his new home track, Summit Point.

Jimmy has garnered
two National Championships and 6 Regional
Championships in Go-Karting. At the age of 6, he
started his career racing Quarter Midgets on a dirt
track in Maryland.
Go-Kart road racing became his passion and with the
help and support of his parents, Janet and Lin, he
has become a skilled driver. Jimmy has always
enjoyed coming to Summit Point over the years to
watch the racing and pit action. In 2004, Meathead
Racing asked Jimmy to come on board as a crew
member. His willingness to help and always be
available has made him a great asset to the racing
family. He feels he has learned a lot about racing
and cars from the members of the Meathead Racing
Team. Jimmy is currently a Sophomore at Martinsburg
High School. |

Wendy never would have thought that she would be
spending almost every Spring, Summer, and Fall
weekend living in a motor home, cooking on a grill,
and watching her husband race but there is no where
else that she would love to be. As the wife of a
racecar driver and team owner, she is frequently
found cooking food, supplying drinks to thirsty
drivers, chasing children, and welcoming the
families of other drivers. Wendy loves taking her
20 “mini vacations” each year and visiting with all
of the track friends.
In her spare time, Wendy is a Mother of four
wonderful children, Cole, Wyatt, Valerie, and Irina. Vice President of
Humphrey Rich Construction Group, Inc., and CFO of
MEATHEAD Racing, LLP.

For
all those who know Anne, “the track” is an amusing
place to find her! Anne is the wife of Chris Tamburo,
a Meathead team driver. Anne has found that, like
Wendy, she has inherited many new jobs at the track;
ranging from Cook to Cheerleader! Always willing to
provide her opinion on the race, strategies and
lighten a usually intense mood, Anne is proud to be
a Meathead Racing team member.
Back in the real world, Anne is the owner of Live
Well Design and Renovation LLC. Chris and Anne have
2 children, Evan and Gianna! Both children have
been conveniently born before the start of racing
season as to not have their father miss a race!
Evan, always eager to help, loves the cars and
especially the tools. |

When
Karen arrived in the United States in 2007 to join
the Collins family as an au pair, she had no idea
what she was getting into. Many
race weekends later, she is the interim director of
hospitality and regular Collins rugrat chaser. It
did not take long for Karen to learn her way around
the track and into the hearts of the Collins family
and the Meathead Racing family. Karen quickly
figured out that at the track - it is all about
keeping Mike happy. Karen's help is appreciated by
all even though she still confesses to know nothing
about cars. Any given race day, you can find Karen
on the grid, cleaning windshields, feeding the every
growing Meathead Racing team or getting coffee for
those team members who had just one too many the
night before. Although Karen is about to pursue a
new adventure at American University
(hard to believe anything could be as exciting as a
year with the Collins family...) , she will continue
to be a valued and loved member of Meathead Racing.
As Karen pursues her degree in International
Studies, we will look to her to apply her new found
knowledge to take Meathead Racing global. |

As
the matriarch of the “Meathead” clan, Mary has
been thrown into a world that is completely
foreign to her. As attested in the article she
wrote for
The Straightpipe (“If It’s a Horse It
Must Be a Mustang”), Momma Meathead knows
nothing about cars! She is trying to figure out
how she married one car nut and gave birth to an
even bigger one. Still she enjoys the race
weekends immensely. She feels right at home in
the family atmosphere of the paddock, loves all
the new friends she has made, and adores the
extra time she gets to spend with her grand children,
Cole, Wyatt, Valerie, and Irina.
Even though cars may not be her expertise, she
contributes to the Meathead Racing team with her
cooking, cleaning, organizing, gofering, and
vast babysitting skills to the ever growing
Meathead family.
Mary is
retired from the Turfgrass Industry but is in
her 20th year as the Executive
Director of the Maryland Turfgrass Association
and is currently the President of her local
chapter of the International Women’s
Organization, Beta Sigma Phi. She is also the
Business Manager for Christopher O. Collins
Architect, LLC. She lives with her husband Chris
“Junior” Collins.

Alison is married to Meathead Racing’s Rock Star
Randy Ramos. She is a testament to the old adage
that ugly Rock Stars always have beautiful wives.
At the track, Alison makes sure that the ‘Rock Star’
and his entourage is well fed with delicious
desserts and not to mention sumptuous dishes.
In real life, Alison is the Technical Manager for
the Division of Nuclear Medicine in Johns Hopkins
Radiology.
